This was a fun project. I got the chance to hang out with and observe a few days of preschool. There were so many great moments of amazing imagination. How the minds of preschoolers work and see the world can be very enlightening. I loved being reminded of how numb and passive we become as we grow and become exposed to new things every day. The list of things considered "normal" becomes too long. We miss the little group of ants building a home in the cracks of the sidewalk, the twirling of Maple tree's seed as it descends to the ground, a hope for new life. Don't forget to look, listen, smell and feel. This time of year, when the leaves change, the Geese fly south and the chill creeps in is a time for reflection. A look at life as a constant change. I just found about about this amazing short film shot days before the earthquake of 1906. It shows a very different time, cars, horse and buggy, trams and pedestrians moving around before traffic rules and stop lights. If the video does not play go here.
